It’s the height of summer and I wanted to start thinking in terms of color, texture and shape for my upcoming project. What better place to get a clue than your own backyard, so while my husband and I took a hike just outside of Portland, I just tried to keep an open mind. A rather busy and renowned waterfall was not exactly peaceful, but being in nature always has its pleasantries.
I saw long lines of the trees, golds and yellows, abstract shapes of shadows, and lavender against deep greens. I now have my inspirations and themes that I was hoping for.
And here is one of me at Punchbowl Falls.
